Message for the New YearDavid asked the Lord: Wilt thou not revive us again that the people may rejoice in thee? As I was pondering upon the Psalm, the Lord began to speak to me from His word. He said, I will heal their backsliding, I will Love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from my people. I will be as dew unto them: and they shall grow as the lily, and cast forth their roots as Lebanaon. I will cause their branches to speak and their beauty as the Olive tree. They that dwell under the shadow shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine. For I will not contend for ever neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. I know all the ways of each heart; iniquity and coventousness are not hidden from me. I will heal my people; I will perfect that which concerns them. For now saith the Lord, I will grant space; grace shall be shown unto many and a reviving from their bondage. I will bring them from their captivity, and take away their confusion of face. I will be unto them a nail in a sure place and an extention of mercy. Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save. Neither is his ear heavy that it cannot hear. For I have heard the cries of my people. Mothers for their sons and daughters, Fathers for their families. I have felt the hopelessness and the dispare of many. Know now saith the Lord, I am moving in silence all across the land and the sounds of effects shall surely be heard as I usher in many that shall come forth this year. As the time came for severance of my people from among the Egyptians so shall it come in this time. For I shall cause my people to be the head and not the tail. Favor shall surely over take my people. The righteous shall not be forsaken nor shall my seed be begging for bread.

Upper Room Church is a non-profit organization. Subordinated under the United Christian Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. Our headquarters are in Wilton / Montevallo Alabama. The Church was founded in October of 1992 by our Pastor, Robert Steve Logan Jr. First and foremost, we firmly believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of the Almighty God. The Upper Room Church is primarily Pentecostal. We stand in the five fold ministry which include Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ.We are passionately carrying out the word of God to our community and the world through various ministries which include street meetings, food distribution to the needy, prison ministry, nursing home, the internet and missionary trips. Throughout the years, we have had prophetic words spoken and confirmed by the Lord that The URC Ministry will touch the four corners of the earth. As a result, we have built churches in India and support orphanages. Our missionaries have seen people saved, the sick healed, addicts delivered and Christians filled with the power of God.Another attribute that defines us is that we are determined to equip the Saints of God by preparing them in their ministry call and election. The Upper Room Church welcomes you to be a part of this exciting Spirit-filled ministry. If you reside in Shelby County or surrounding area we invite you to attend our services and to participate in all the other activities that are taking place at the URC.

REACH

REACH is an extention of Upper Room Church Ministries. We are excited to see this ministry growing and helping the community. At the end of 2010 the Lord began opening doors of opportunity to those in need.

Each month we are able to donate food to hundreds of families. Food distribution is on the second Saturday of each month at 10am.

IGNITED YOUTH

Here at the Upper Room Church we love family. We invite you to be a part of ours. By offering different numbers of ministries for children that run parallel to the adult services on Wednesday night.

Upper Room Church is happy to provide educational ministry through Sunday School. Our Sunday school is an evangelistic and educational department sponsored by the church for individuals of all ages.

The purpose of Sunday school is to provide the church with a teaching ministry of the word on a level of understanding of each individual to reach, teach and win them over for Christ .To nurture and train them for service. The Bible is the official textbook of all such classes, which are divided into divisions based on age, grade or interest.

The salvation of a man is based on an individual’s relationship with Jesus Christ, parents are held accountable to God for how they raise their children and conduct themselves. Sunday school is a means to help foster that relationship, therefore it is not to replace the family unit or its responsibilities, but is to help enrich it.

We heard the words of the prophet saying, The Upper Room Ministry would touch the four corners of the earth. As we traveled to India, those words burned in us. Knowing that this is a part of that which had been spoken. And though the cost be great, we mean to fulfill all that He has chosen for us to do. The only church in the village was a Hindu Temple. God opened the door for Upper Room Ministries to plant a church and bring the gospel to many that had never heard the anointed words of the Bible. Miracles have happened, souls have been saved, the sick have been healed, and the hungry filled. The church remains there today and is pastored by Rajan Koilpillia and sponsored by Pastor Mike Bearden & Word of Life Church. The villages of India need the life changing God. Upper Room Ministries has touched many different parts of the world as God has opened the opportunity to us. We have taken the gospel to Jamacia, Guatemala, Grand Caymen Island, Nassau Bahamas, England, Wales, Mexico, India and sent supplies to Bulgaria. We count every mile a blessing and every soul a victory! Thanks to all for your sacrifice, prayers, and support.
